What People Say
Steve Allen
From the time we asked Leah for a proposal, to head up our town planning application, it was clear she had taken her time to consider our design and develop a bespoke strategy to ensure the very best outcome for us.
Mike and Alex Bomitali
We had a large amount of objections on our proposed build. Inception Planning worked with us, and the architect, on each objection until all the objectors' needs were met. They were extremely dedicated to getting us over the line.
James Stapleton
Inception Planning's forward thinking allowed for a more thoughtful design, with possible complications being addressed during the design phase, rather than having to be rectified or modified later.
FAQs
Here are some of the questions we get asked most often.
If you have a questions that you can't find the answer to here, contact us.
What costs can I expect for Inception Planning’s services?
We hate giving a non-answer, but it really does depend on the complexity of the project, the types of supporting application plans and reports required, and the time spent custom producing a quality application to get you approval. Once we know what you need, we’ll be upfront about the likely cost and where we can have set fees. The earlier you discuss your project with us, the easier it is for us to work with you to find efficiencies in the process and save you money.
When will I get the planning permit from Council?
We’ve worked for Councils and with them. We know from the outside looking in, the process can seem unnecessarily time consuming. Councils are adhering to a complex planning process with a handful of procedures to undertake before issuing your permit. Unfortunately, that means we can’t give you a specific timeline. The good news is that, given our inside knowledge of the process and amazing working relationships with Councils, we are very good at navigating the permit process as efficiently as possible.
What happens if my planning permit application goes to a Council Meeting?
Applications are required to go to a Council Meeting for a variety of reasons, most of which we’ve dealt with many times. Whatever the reason, we will work with you to come up with a strategy and be there with you throughout the whole process.
What can I do after my permit is issued?
Yay, you’ve got the permit. Congrats! It is not unusual for there to be some conditions on your permit, which are usually addressed by submitting revised plans or reports to Council for approval. We are here to assist you in preparing and submitting them. Sometimes other building permits may also be required. We can help you source these too.
Do you only prepare planning permit applications?
We do love variety and have worked hard to become allrounders. As well as the ‘paperwork’, we can represent you in Statutory Planning and development matters, including: Council planning process, VCAT hearings, Council enforcement matters, mediation meetings, Council briefings, and general development related advocacy projects. We can be beside you from start to finish or just provide advice on the bits you need.
